Pastor Mark's Weekly Update

Hello Church!

I'm praying for you today Romans 15:13 - "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope."

We continue to seek to minister to you even though we can't be with you regularly. Please let our Pastor-Elders know of any need you have or ways we can be praying for you.

As you know, we are using Zoom for our online group opportunities like Bible studies and the daily prayer gathering. We've learned this week about security concerns, especially related to "bombers" who enter a meeting with malicious intent. We are taking action to increase the security of our groups and Adam Skatula, our Groups Ministry Director, will share more about that in his weekly groups email on Sunday night.

Amy Skatula, our Children's Ministry Director, sends emails weekly to encourage and equip families. You can read the latest one here.

Please plan to worship with us online this Sunday at 9am or 10:45am on our Homepage. We'll send a direct link on Sunday morning in the event our website isn't working properly.

For the next few weeks we're taking a break from James to look more fully at our loving Savior and how he is our comfort and peace in the midst of turmoil. We are calling this mini-series, "It is Well: Trusting God in Uncertain Times." I pray the Lord will use this series to remind you of his goodness, love, power and presence in this time.

We love you Calvary Family! We are trusting our Sovereign and Good God together for the day when we'll be back together again.

In Christ,

Mark Hallock
