Pastor Mark's Weekly Update

Hi Church!

I am so pumped to share with you that we're adding a drive-in worship option beginning THIS SUNDAY, MAY 24th, at both 9am and 10:45am. By adding this option we now encourage you to worship on Sundays in one of three ways:

  1. In your home as you have been on one of the online platforms you can find on our website,
  2. Join with a few friends or another family to watch in homes on one of the online platforms, or
  3. Come to the church to watch the stream in your car "together" with others around you in their cars using the platform Church Online. (We hope to offer FM audio broadcast very soon.)

The Pastor-Elders recognize that folks are in different places for different reasons with what they feel comfortable doing at this point. We fully respect that and also thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate the changing situation. We want to move forward as quickly as we can but not be reckless. Of course being together in our sanctuary would be our first choice! But we aren't there yet. We continue to be in alignment with the guidelines of the State and we are honoring the information and guidance they are giving specifically to faith communities.

The Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment has provided guidelines specific to a drive-in venue and we ask that you help us follow the below details:

  1. Please arrive early so that we can get everyone parked systematically. Watch for parking attendants around the property who will direct you to the Tri-County Health Department parking lot to our East first, and then the lot on the South side around to the gravel lot on the West side.
  2. Stay in vehicles at all times - we reiterate that for the health and safety of everyone, but kids especially, no one should leave a vehicle for any reason.
  3. There will be no bathroom access available.
  4. Please bring your own Lord's Supper elements (a bit of juice and a few crackers).
  5. Those most at risk are encouraged to stay home at this time.
  6. This week you should be prepared to use mobile data to stream the service via Church Online on a phone or other device. We hope to offer FM audio broadcast very soon.

The Pastor-Elders are actively talking about and working on our options for in-person worship when we are able to do so. We know many are looking forward to this and we will share next steps and details as they are made available to us by the State.

On behalf of our Pastor-Elders, Deacons, and Staff, we love you dearly, Calvary family! We are in this together and the Lord is with us!
