CALLED exists to equip and encourage young adults to obey the calling of Christ to be and make joyful, passionate disciples.

CALLED interns will be equipped and encouraged in a loving, supportive, team environment that will focus on personal spiritual growth (being a disciple) and ministry skills (making disciples).  This will happen through:

  • Weekly team meetings
  • Planning, leading and serving with student ministry, children’s ministry, and other Calvary Englewood church activities
  • Participating in weekly Calvary staff meetings and activities
  • Helping lead Sunday morning services or other activities at other Calvary Family Churches
  • Meeting individually with mentors and students

Responsibilities and Roles:
  • We understand that God has gifted and called each person differently and uniquely, thus each intern may have different responsibilities and roles in various ministry contexts. However each intern will be responsible for loving and shepherding young people at Calvary and making a closer discipleship relationship with at least two young people. It is also the role of the intern to learn and grow in how to lead in life and ministry through CALLED.
  • Calvary Church Englewood understands that much is expected of CALLED interns, but we as a church want to invest and love these young interns. We plan to spend time and energy loving, discipling and living life with them as they grow closer to Jesus. If at any point an intern feels disconnect or confused during the CALLED internship we would love to have you talk with us.
