Equipping the Church to Live on Mission

In a world longing for hope and truth, the call to live as faithful witnesses of Jesus has never been more urgent. That’s why we’re setting aside a special weekend—Go Weekend—to reawaken our hearts to God’s mission and reengage with His call to go show and tell the gospel boldly.

This is more than just an event. It’s a time of vision, training, and transformation for everyone at Calvary—young and old, seasoned believers and new disciples alike. Whether you’ve served on mission teams before or are just starting to ask how God might use you, Go Weekend is for you.

Why "Go Weekend"?

We are surrounded by opportunities—at home, at work, in our neighborhoods, and across the world—to share the hope of Jesus. But many of us feel unsure, unequipped, or unaware of how to step into this calling.

Go Weekend will help bridge that gap by:
- Lifting our eyes to see the urgency and beauty of Christ’s mission
- Hearing real stories of how Calvary is already engaged in mission locally and globally
- Gaining clarity on what the Bible says about our role as ambassadors for Christ
- Equipping you with simple, practical tools for sharing the gospel in everyday life

What can you expect during Go Weekend?

Go Weekend includes two days of engaging sessions, opportunities to connect with mission partners, and practical equipping for life on mission.

We'll conclude on Sunday, October 5, with a powerful worship service focused on our church’s core commitment: Go, show, and tell the gospel boldly.

You’ll leave with a renewed sense of purpose, a greater awareness of God’s work in the world, and concrete next steps for living out the mission right where you are.

“It is the whole business of the whole church to preach the
whole gospel to the whole world.”

- Charles Spurgeon

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age

- Jesus (Matthew 28:19-20)

"I pray to God to give me perseverance
and to deign that I be a faithful witness
to Him to the end of my life for my God."

- Patrick of Ireland
